After I paid for the item, the seller contacted me and told me they wouldn't ship unless I agreed to pay double the shipping cost that they quoted. This would have meant my shipping would cost the same amount as the item I was buying. I asked them to honor the original shipping price. In response, they canceled my order. I was willing to pay a little more for shipping but they didn't give me the chance.

Like I said I'm not a professional seller: my international shipping estimation was wrong. But I'm not going to sell at a loss. Shipping was 50 euros to Canada for 24 books and there was a difference of 20 euros + ebay fees. I had similar experiences with international buyers and they all understood and agreed to pay the correct shipping price. I never make any money on shipping.
