It's been a full five years since the last studio album by L.A.'s much beloved, venerable combo The Muffs. The "Hard-Pop" trio returns in 2004 with "Really Really Happy"; the band's first album for Five Foot Two & it's sharpest, most focused & dynamic set of tunage yet! The 13 year old group (Kim Shattuck: vocals, guitar, songs; Ronnie Barnett: bass; Roy McDonald: drums) recorded "Really Really Happy" at an easy pace. No hard deadlines, no clock-watching, no stress & it shows. The album is a relaxed, raucous, sonically rich affair stacked with 17(!) larger than life songs; some of the best of the band's Ballyhooed career. A career that has spanned over a decade, with the release of four studio albums bursting at the seams with a slew of now classic songs that have secured them a loyal underground following.
