The old style red fuel cells are no longer sold. As a result, customers with the old style framing guns can no longer use them. These metering valves, which are hard to obtain, allow use of the new fuel cells in the old style framing nailers. Although pricey, they are worth every penny. Better to buy these then to have to purchase a new framing nailer.

An absolute necessity to be able to use older Paslode Impulse Nailers with the new fuel cells.With out this proper metering valve the older guns will not get the correct amount of fuel and will not operate properly. Paslode knows this ans should, but no longer makes it available. I've read reviews that complained that it is somewhat pricey, however truth be known it is a small price to pay to continue to use your current tool and not have to spend full price to purchase a new gun.
