Urgh ! A Music War - A Blast From the Past, Reasonably Priced!

I used to work at a video store as a kid and have seen Urgh more times than I can remember. In 1985 it was 89.95 to buy on VHS, so I was pleased to see it priced so low on DVD today. It’s every bit as good as I remember, but with upgraded DVD quality!

        New Wave Doldrums

While The Police, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Go-Gos, Joan Jett and a couple other performers are engaging and worth documenting , the vast majority of the acts are of questionable talent at best. If pared down to a half hour or so, this disc would rate four stars. As it stands, stick to YouTube clips and save your dough.

      • A 5 Star product

A lot of different bands in this DVD. The groups like the Police, GoGos, Joan Jett, Gary Numan, and others will make up for all the others that you may never heard of. They all play one live song except for the Police got one at the beginning and I at the end. A lot of the groups were just starting out!! Will bring you back to the early 80"s

      • One of the best concert documents out there!

Fabulous document of music history. Music is non-stop, much variety, all solid and fun. And sound is full and clear, unlike my vinyl of many years ago. This will get heavy rotation from now til forever.

      • Brings back my senior year of college

Awesome video. Iconic 80s bands. Not pop garbage. Real musicians. I can't believe this movie is 40 years old. These bands are still just as great to see and hear in 2020.
