        Martin Logan Motion 8 center channel

        I bought it as a factory refurb and was a little bit worried about it until I fired it up. I felt an immediate lift to my 7.1 system. It was a major improvement over the Def Tech Pro 1000 even though it was a very good performer. The Motion 8 is a bigger speaker but it is the Heil air motion tweeter that I think makes this speaker so much better than the Pro 1000. Dialogue is much easier to understand and all music is sweeter with no ear fatigue. I played a lot of well recorded music and it all sounded great. The speaker appears to be in perfect condition. Kudos to Martin Logan.

        Best speakers I've ever owned

        Incredible clarity from these speakers and good low range from 8in driver speaker. Very directional with quite a narrow listening angle so setting them up takes moving them around a bit. I'm very happy with my purchase though they are a bit expensive.

        Stellar Performer

        I took a chance with this Motion 8, and was not disappointed. For years I tolerated a center channel speaker that had high coloration, low efficiency, that dragged down the quality of the front stage image even in the presence of high quality IMF Electronics studio monitors for the left and right channels. The Motion 8 integrated perfectly into the system and filled all the soundstage gaps seamlessly. It is tonally very neutral, just "warm" enough, and presents an amazingly deep front to back image. It is everything that it should be, and not what it shouldn't be. Martian Logan has made a center channel speaker that is not an insult to existing high-end audio systems capable of providing much more than the typical out-of-the-box turnkey surround sound packages.         Great sound, awesome value!

        These Logan Martin speakers sound incredible! I knew there was a ding in the corner but it is so small, you can barely see it. Besides, the sound is what really matters. They fit in very well with the rest of my equipment and I am looking forward to hooking them up my Marantz receiver which should arrive shortly. Thank you, very much!!
