    Lenovo Thinkpad internal hard disk drive caddy assembly

    The caddy assembly appears to be fine, but beware, it is not quite compatible with a Lenovo Thinkpad T530 because the caddy side walls, while about 7mm high at the front end, raise a bit in height to about 9mm at the rear (SATA connector) end. Because of this, the rubber support strips do not properly fit over the drive at the rear end. Nevertheless, this can be remedied by lowering the wall a bit at the rear with a wire cutter. Again, this applies to a T530; I have no idea of whether this applies to similar Thinkpads.
