    consumables

    We have been using #26 torches but needed to weld 16ga. the 26 is kind of big for this so I purchased a cheep #17 torch. although we have cups and collets I am not sure how old or how clean these are so I got these. since I got them yesterday and used them last night I am not sure of how long they will last but I did use some of the products last night. Since everything was new, I figured I would give them a go and set everything up to run hot for a while. Using the 1/8 collet body, Tungsten(2% lan) and the #8 cup I welded for a while at around 190 amps with a high freq, start (no pulse), way over the rating for the torch and I did it for about an hour. Cup and collet did fine. I switched over to the gas lens and was very impressed with the shielding, yes there was a huge difference. I ...

    Good value, they fit and they work!

    Purchased for personal use and didn't want to pay extra for a brand name kit. I didn't check each and every piece for fit and finish. Over all kit is a very good value and gives me what I need at a fraction of the cost. I don't always buy Made in China but when I do it all eventually goes in the trash.

    Can't go wrong for the money

    I'm rather new to TIG welding and perhaps like many other newbies seeing the puddle while welding "was" difficult. The gas lens setup allows for greater tungsten stick-out making it much easier to see the puddle. My weld went from dismal to acceptable immediately after installing the gas lens. .
