Groundbreaking
This is one of the fundamental slabs that went a long way towards bridging the Headbanger's Ball routine into the '90's. (I only say that because sometimes people need to be taken by the hand and shown what they've been missing.) In its short-lived life, Alice in Chains was thankfully there when the time was right for yet another western infusion of soul-searching rock. Jerry Cantrell and Co. left imprints and melded genres in an American way that you can still feel today-and this album was just the beginning. They were so distinctive that they're not even usually thought of as a Seattle band....and now, who is there to unite us? Magnificent, hard-edged stuff the world could enjoy and another important link in that chain that includes Black Sabbath, Guns ... Alice in Chains,,"Facelift" a Cd that belongs in any collection..........
This particular Alice in Chains Cd is my favorite,, and unless you have a rock radio station that play AIC, I strongly recomend having this Cd in your collection.I could not even find it at my local album shop in So Cal.Take my word for it, if you have a opertunity to purchase this Cd, you wont regret it.Since the passing of the lead singer I have purchased all the AIC Cd's.ENJOY.............This particular Alice in Chains Cd is my favorite,, and unless you have a rock radio station that play AIC, I strongly recomend having this Cd in your collection.I could not even find it at my local album shop in So Cal.Take my word for it, if you have a opertunity to purchase this Cd, you wont regret it.Since the passing of the lead singer I have purchased all the AIC Cd's.ENJOY.............
