    The Time of the Buffalo by Tom McHugh (1972)

    A wonderful and thoroughly complete history of the Buffalo. I will need to read this several times to completely absorb it. McHugh is a very talented writer and opened up my eyes about how important the buffalo has been in the development of mankind. A book worth taking the time to read. I wish I had discovered it decades ago instead of having to wait all these years to find it.
