    A Good Strategic Boost for Average Players

    Drawing from a few of the key lessons in his Little Green Book, Phil Gordon does a good job in providing examples of how to deal with some common poker situations. This is not something advanced players will benefit from very much, so I would recommend it for novice to intermediate players looking to gain a strategic edge and take their game up a level. The narration by Phil is simple and concise in both the Beginner and Advanced viewing modes. Phil has a great way of relating to the common poker player and although he is a pro, he is still effectively able to empathize with the kind of unfavorable situations average poker players hate to suffer through. His honesty and humor is refreshing and keeps the DVD both entertaining and informative throughout. If you like the style of poker Phil ...

    perfect title

    This was a very well done and extremely informative DVD. It was easy to follow the action and the explanations were very understandable. It gives good insight into the decision making process the top players use to decide on the best play. A good investment for any serious player.

    Final Table Poker with Phil Gordon is Terrific

    Few people can explain a poker concept as well as Phil Gordon. In print he chooses his words with precision; on film, he provides only what's necessary to get his point across. As far as we can tell, anyone who wants to get ahead in the poker game will have an advantage after watching this DVD and will zoom ahead of the crowd after studying it.

    Very good introduction for cash game players

    I am primarily a cash game player and have had no success at the transition to tournament play. This dvd was very interesting at giving me insight into the thought processes that I should be using. Not so sure about how much help this will be in a very short or heads' up match, but I hope I have to find out!

    Title tells it like it is

    Nice DVD. Lotsa good stuff for the intermediate player. Phil's rule of 4-2 is a great tool. Great information, if you have been playing for a little bit and want to take your game to then next level this will help.
