Synopsis
In 1970, one of Mississippi's more colorful weekly newspapers, The Ford County Times , went bankrupt. To the surprise and dismay of many, ownership was assumed by a 23 year-old college dropout, named Willie Traynor. The future of the paper looked grim until a young mother was brutally raped and murdered by a member of the notorious Padgitt family. Willie Traynor reported all the gruesome details, and his newspaper began to prosper. The murderer, Danny Padgitt, was tried before a packed courthouse in Clanton, Mississippi. The trial came to a startling and dramatic end when the defendant threatened revenge against the jurors if they convicted him. Nevertheless, they found him guilty, and he was sentenced to life in prison. But in Mississippi in 1970, "life" didn't necessarily mean "life," and nine years later Danny Padgitt managed to get himself paroled. He returned to Ford County, and the retribution began., #1 NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER - In 1970, one of Mississippi's more colorful weekly newspapers, The Ford County Times , went bankrupt. - b***t (459)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchasePerfect! Item was packed safely and arrived quickly just as it had been described when I ordered it! A decent price for a fun old game, thanks! I'm happy to add it to my collection.
- t***a (43)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseArrived fairly quickly, and price was reasonable. However, disc came in a cheap CD case that was mildly damaged ("disc only"), luckily was sent in a bubble mailer and disc itself was fine. The disc however had "disc rot", making it permanently unreadable, though was otherwise in great condition. They responded very quickly and gave me a refund. They said it worked last time they played it, but I imagine it's been a little bit since then. They were very nice about everything. Thank you!Reply from: shakiratt- Feedback replied to by seller shakiratt.- Feedback replied to by seller shakiratt.I always offer easy returns whenever a buyer is not happy with purchase.
