this is a great idea ! the spring and ball bearing are a perfect combo . this really works . and the circular magnet arm hole cover is a perfect fit . this is not some weak , cheap refrigerator magnet , it has some strength and is not easily moved off where it's placed . plus it matches the saddle base -- barely noticeable . looks factory . using this on a 2022 MIM Player Strat . Keep's tension on my JV Strat trem arm without issue. My suggestion to make it better would be to use a bearing that wasn't magnetic. The current bearing tends to be tough to handle with it's attraction to the magnetic cover.
