Seller Notes: “Fair-Good overall antique cond: The int cotton pulp pgs are largely intact, w/no significant loss, ... “Fair-Good overall antique cond: The int cotton pulp pgs are largely intact, w/no significant loss, tears, foxing, corner folds or other issues. There are a few minor episodes of slight tanning that's occurred on the outside margins of a few of the pgs & some spot tanning that's occurred on others. There's some leather cover loss toward the int spine edge on the back of the cover. This is not fatal but exists. The leather has lifted away & has worn slightly in this particular area. The leather spine's edges also have split, where the leather cover has now broken away & has slit down the edges of the spine. The raised leather bands & gold gilt stamping of the spine are intact. It's overall antique cond would be considered normal for a leather bound vol nearly 240 yrs old. No leather cover restoration has been performed on the spine's edges or brightening (bleaching) on the cotton pulp pages, to my knowledge. The book remains in 100% orig, untouched, as-found antique cond. (En Francais.)”
