Good replacement sights.
These sights are doing exactly what I expected BUT.. I had to bring my gun to a gunsmith to have then properly installed. I don't have a sight press which is required. Other than that, I am happy with them. UNLESS you have the proper tools, you're not just going to pop these sights on.. give the gun to a professional to install them.

While the fiber optic dots do provide for extremely fast target acquisition, the metal from which they are made is not very good. My sight tool has never caused the kind of damage to the metal which occurred when I installed these into my full-size M&P 9/40. The dovetail on the sight, both front and rear, was just oversized enough that it caused me to have to use slightly more pressure than I am used to. Regardless, the metal these are made of should have been able to handle that extra pressure. However, the edges flaked off like one might expect of pot metal. I was shocked. I never have experienced that happening in over 40 years of experience with weapons of all different kinds, both in the military and in the civilian world. Good sights -- but let the pros install them
Installed these sights on my M&P Shield with some level of difficulty. Removing the original sights was tough because of the design of the rear sight. The press wouldn't work, even after a lot of penetrating oil and a considerable amount of driving with different (non-marring) punches. Both the front and rear were finally removed and these sights installed. Again, with difficulty. The dovetails are super tight (good thing) and doing this project yourself is not recommended. Give in and take the sights to a gunsmith and let them do the heavy lifting. The good news is that these are super bright and show up well at night. Much better than the factory sights (simple white three-dot system) so I'm more confident carrying my pistol even in low light conditions.Installed these sights on my M&P Shield with some level of difficulty. Good construction, easy install. But it shoots 4" high at 25 yrds using bench rest and several types of ammo. Easy to get sight picture with green and red front would have preferred green and green buts it wasn't offered. Because of the elevation I'm going back to the factory sights.
