Outstanding Romantic Drama
I haven't read anything of this author's that hasn't bowled me over. Her characters are complex and real, and her stories are funny, sweet, and tender. This is an unusual tale of the reviled widow of a disgraced tele-evangelist and her son, and the grit and determination she shows in taking them from total poverty and desperate circumstances to a better life. Her courage, and her renewed faith, are a great story. Add in a very sexy and wounded hero and you get a great romantic tale. Don't let the cover or title fool you !!
1st page and I was hooked! And I didn't even realize that this was a following (sorta) of the Chicago Star Series only that this was Cal Bonner's brother Gabe. Gabe..WOW!!! Powerful, Tragic. Rachel (remember the Widow Snopes??)..Powerful, Tragic. Both a force to be reckoned with. Put these two character's together and you have a story that is heartwarming, witty, funny,Sooo Sexy and downright sizzling and definitely a TEAR JERKER!!! I actually cried and laughed at the same time. I will buy any Susan Elizabeth's books that come on the market and NOT blink and eye..they are that good...Definitely Recommend 5*****'s1st page and I was hooked!
