The series chronicles the return of Meredith to the Unseelie Court by way of an invitation sent by her Aunt Andais, the Queen of Air and Darkness in the form of her right hand, Doyle, also known as Darkness. She is given men from the queen's own guard, her Ravens, to guard her body and fill her bed as heir to ... The Kiss of Shadows is the first book of the Meredith (Merry)Gentry series. And let me tell you, Merry was such a breathe of fresh air compared to Anita Blake. Merry never had pissing contest and needless arguments about what needed to be done... she just did it. And when she was offered advice, she evaluated it intelligently before making the ultimate decision. I truly enjoyed this series... and once you read it, I don't think you will pick up the Anita Blake series again. I just now wish LKH would stop focusing her energy on Anita who still hasn't learned a darn thing and continue this series... she has left so many things open with Merry

Merry Gentry is a Very Feisty Leading Lady! This is a wonderful world that Laurell Hamilton has Created around Fae Royalty. This is the first book in the Meredith { Merry} Gentry Series. This book is Action Packed with lots of Mystery and Super Hot Sexy. This series is the Story of the Fae Princess Merry. I really Enjoyed this Book! I was a little worried at first....I mean really Fairy's??? I am very Surprised....I am Addicted..I am starting the second book tonight! I am so glad I gave this book a try! I highly Recommend A kiss of Shadows if you like Paranormal Romance & Fantasy you will love it! Warning... Explicit Sex! really enjoyed this book!
I really do enjoy the writing style of Laurell K. Hamilton. I'm a big fan of her Anita Blake books . It was no surprise to me that I would love this one. Great read!!!!!

Good but Graphic
Very good book, highly recommended for a good story, but not for the faint of heart. The book does contain very graphic love scenes and violence. The story is excellent and captivating.

I just love her work. I already have her stories in hardback. My hardbacks, I do not share well with others. So, I am buying the paperbacks to share.
