The body is pretty nice. It was shipped fast. It measures out at 1-5/8" thick and is light. This strat body is a one piece body. I'd guess it is Paulownia. There is a check on the end grain from the drying process that needs to be filled. The body came in a light foam bag w/ no other packing materials. The single box that contained it got damaged in shipping and resulted in a dent in the upper horn end grain. Luckily, it'll mostly steam out. In the end, you get what you pay for.

fast delivery, cool project. the neck pocket is a bit to big. i can glue in a piece and shape it before paint. but if your not good with that kind of thing, buy a more expensive body.
