A Great Book for those who want to Lose Weight, and keep it off.

The Atkins Diet is so easy to get on, and lose weight. In the 2002 version, Dr. Atkins rewrote and updated his book. He uses the new technology developed in the 1990's, and early 2000's. In 1972, Dr. Atkins was the Father of the Low Carb Diet, that Universities, Doctors, and Medical Groups, throughout the world, have been studying, and developing the uses since the early 1980's. It is a wonderful book. Dr. Atkins is a Cardiologist, and he give advise to the reader throughout the book.

  • Great information for making healthier food choices with results.

This is a great, informative book that describes the relationship between protein and carbohydrates and the effect that they have on our energy and blood sugar/insulin levels. I dropped one pound per day for six days and more slowly afterward by eliminating carb heavy products from my eating regimen e.g. all bread including sandwich bread, muffins, tortillas, toast, waffles, pancakes and BEER. Switched to lower fat proteins like fish and leaner cuts of beef and chicken dishes with veggies (a good carb alternative). Fantastic renewed sense of energy not experienced in years. Also includes helpful lists of acceptable healthy food choices and menu suggestions.

  • Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution (Updated)

This is a comprehensive edition that explains very clearly what the plan is and how to personalize it to your body as you progress. In the past, the emphasis was on protein and any fats, whereas now it is a far more reasonable, and healthy approach. The plan emphasizes healthy fats (olive oil) and many vegetables for good health. You are expected to greadually increase the carbs you eat, to a personal point where you neither lose nor gain weight. That is your body's limit on carbs. This is a reasonable and healthy plan for anyone suffering from obesity and the effects of it, such as diabetes. He recommends a visit to your physician before starting. Overall, this is a good life-long plan most can do and not feel deprived in any way.

  • Atkins is the best

These are replacement books, mine disappeared when I moved. I've used Atkins on and off since 2005 and missed the recipes. Atkins, in my opinion, is way better than the "keto" diet, Atkins is the original keto (:
