About this product

Product Information

Jim Butcher's Breakthrough #1 New York Times bestseller The Warden Morgan has been accused of treason against the Wizards of the White Council-and there's only one final punishment for that crime. He's on the run, he wants his name cleared, and he needs someone with a knack for backing the underdog. Like Harry Dresden. Now, Harry must uncover a traitor within the Council, keep a less-than-agreeable Morgan under wraps, and avoid coming under scrutiny himself. And a single mistake could cost Harry his head...

  • What a great series too bad the TV show died off

More great adventures with Harry Dresden, the reluctant hero/wizard/grouch. It's like seeing Oscar the grouch with a dark attitude and magical powers. Harry always helps out the underdog, even his guardian/accuser Morgan, whom he helps out this time. Morgan is wrongly accused of treachery, and Harry helps to prove him guilty, and uncovers the truth as he always does, with his own style. I love this book series, and loved the TV show, which was VERY true to the book plots, moods, and feel. They got it right when they made this TV show, which died because Sci-Fi channel thought the series cost too much to make, and the agent of the series didn't try hard enough to renew the show for season 2, very sad. The book is GREAT as always. Thanks Jim Butcher for another AMAZING plot..!!! Phil

  • Turn Coat by Jim Butcher

This is a fast pace book and worthy successor of the series. The humor that Butcher applies is not as abundant as in his other books but what was there was very well placed. The characters were well developed and showed more of the intricate connections between them, fleshing them out, so to speak. This book also raises more questions. It brings in a multiple possibilities for future story lines. This book should be read in connection with the past books and kept in series. Otherwise you would miss references and situational intrigues. Butcher is now hitting a good stride in the series and I would highly recommend this book as one of his best. It kept my attention and I found I had to slow my reading to keep the enjoyment and suspense prolonged.

  • Turn Coat by Jim Butcher (2009)

This is a review of an unproofed ARC. Another superior urban fantasy from Jim Butcher. It's amazing the way Butcher tells a complete story interior to the book, advances the overarching series storyline AND unspools plot lines for succeeding books. I especially admire the way he rations the cast of characters he's created for the Dresden series. Rather than trotting out every character to give them a few words to say and then disappear, the characters used are each necessary to move this section of the series on. While not as "fun" as say DEAD BEAT, it's a highly readable, sometimes poignant part of the series.

  • Turn Coat by Jim Butcher (2009)

The latest in the Harry Dresden books of the Dresden Files acclaim. As usual Harry doesn’t have to go looking for trouble…it finds him! In spades! Although Harry is quite good at getting himself in trouble, his former nemesis Warden Morgan appears at his door in a battered and wounded state, barely conscious and request Harry’s help! He’s been accused of a murder and needs Harry’s help! Of all people! Throw in the White Court, a traitor in the White Council and a very nasty shape shifter and you have a recipe for one hell of an adventure as only Jim Butcher can bring you!
