    Couldn't Put It Down!

    I started this at bedtime last night, stayed up all night reading, slept for a couple of hours early this morning, then resumed reading until I'd finished the entire book! I haven't done that in years. I didn't go to work, or Jazzercise, or work in the garden today... I just read. What a compelling novel! As bits and pieces of the story unfold, you'll find yourself irresistibly drawn to the next chapter, then the next, then the next... I loved it!

    Fascinating story of adoption scandal

    This was a very interesting story of an adoption scandal in Tennessee that went on for many years. The characters are very real and the story is well told. I definitely recommend it.

    A must read

    This book was a great read. The history and the struggles of children in Tennessee between the mid 1930's through the 50's was just heart wrenching! The added twist of descendent families from present day made the story real. Very much worth the price! I only wish I had bought a hard copy to keep in my library!

    Fascinating story of human resilience

    Well-written and interesting, this book kept me interested to the end. The blossoming romance between the modern-day heroine and her new love interest could have been more fully developed. I also would have liked to know more about "May"'s experiences as an adult. How did she manifest her many strengths as an adult?
