  • Very good read!

The quality of the book was really good, very little wear and tear, as for the novel itself, it’s great. Bukowski’s coming of age story reminds me of the “Wonder Years and The Sandlot with a lot more grit, honesty and dark cloudiness.

  • My first Bukowski

I needed something new to read, hadn't read a book in a while. Although, when I was younger I read all the time. I had read some quotes by Bukowski, but that's all, so I decided to take a plunge knowing full-well that if the book didn't have some substance I wouldn't make it through the first chapter. I was hooked from the start. The book gave me a new perspective on some things in life, and besides that was one of the best/easiest reads I have ever had. As soon as I finished the last page I purchased another Bukowski.

  • Good stuff

An honest portrait of a young man, both good and bad. Occasionally laugh out loud funny. Bukowski is the drunk that Hemingway aspired to be.
