    AMD AM3 CPU's

    We've been loyal AMD customers for many years, all the way from Socket 7 up. They've always performed well and efficiently, at price points usually far less than their Intel counterparts. This is a great buy for a solid entry-level computer and can run with and on a wide variety of hardware. The dual-cores, like this one, aren't the best for gaming, but for good, solid, home or small business use still run most apps and programs without a hitch. At today's prices for good used 2-3 core CPU's, ($10-15) you can't go wrong. I've got one of these running my home computer (I built this one for a friend) while we run their newest 4300 4-core AM3+ at our office workstations and for that use, it's the best buy on the market. They're just solid.

    Athlon II

    I upgraded from a single core to a dual core on my internet computer. I find that the added core makes the experience of surfing the net much more enjoyable. I'm so happy with this change, that I'm considering upping to a 4 or 6 core. I'll put in a SSD first though.
