  • Shrimp on the Barbie (Camaron en el Asador)

A Mexican-American, Carlos, moves to Australia with the hopes of finding greener pastures. Life turns out to be just the same as home, plus his girlfriend cowardly dumps him while he is safely out of her immediate face-to-face. Bereft and struggling with a local entrepeneur to get a Mexican restaurant running, Carlos runs into a well-to-do spoiled woman looking to spurn her father's disapproval of her current fiance. Her aim: to find a new boyfriend so repulsive, it will make Daddy look back at the most recent boyfriend and change his mind. • Cover in Spanish. Movie in Spanish or English

Don't let the fact that the description says Spanish let you think you cannot watch in English. You are given the option to pick a language (Spanish/English) when you start the movie. It's a great movie too, so definitely watch if you haven't already.

  • A piece of History

It's got Cheech of course, and Bruce Spence and Vernon Wells, Bruce and Vernon from the Road Warrior. They are nothing like their Road W characters. It's good to see them as regular folk-more or less.. I saw this movie long ago when it was new, but could not appreciate it for the rare oddity that it is. If you are a fan of Australian cinema this will be a special treat. If your not a fan then it still is pretty funny.
