    Michaels' writing far less immersive than gameplay

    I purchased the entire Splinter Cell series because I very much enjoy the video games. I was expecting to be held on the edge of my seat for every second of the pulse-pounding suspense that makes Sam Fisher's world so intriguing, but was disappointed with David Michael's writing style. Told in first-person, the novel scrutinizes surroundings and processes and others' expressions but fails in outlining Sam's own thoughts and ideas. The book seems anticlimactic even though it has all the action of the video game. Not outstanding work but will satisfy the curiosity of Splinter Cell fans. There is no back-story to Sam Fisher; merely a more in-depth description of his home life. I would recommend this to loyal Clancy and Splinter Cell fans, but the rest of us can certainly do without this one. ...

    Where do you think you're going Fisher?

    I feel this is a great read even though it is not really written by Clancy. I really cant compare this book to anything ive read, because I really dont read spy/war stories. I do know that the action is up and down in this book. The book starts out with tons of action and suspense but that takes a sharp drop for the next two chapters. Some of the early chapters are boring and somehow seem somewhat repetitive. The book gets much better when Sam travels to Iraq. I think this is an interesting book with the war in Iraq. It presents a different angle that we havent seen. The angle of a SPY.

    Splinter Cell

    Tom Clancyis one of my favorite authors, I have read nearly all of his books, And my only complaint is that he doesnt write fast enough, I need at least one new book every week :O) I wont divulge any plots of the book because if you are like me you dont wont to know the plots untill you reach them in the book. But I do highly recomend this book.

    Splinter Cell review

    I thought this was a really great book with a great story behinde it. I would recomend this book to anyone who like Splinter Cell the video games or anyone who likes books with action and adventure.
