    It's a keeper

    It's sharp, ridiculously sharp. If you use it for outdoor photography, do order a lens hood ( Chinese hoods are 3-4 € ) It's not an L grade lens, but the quality is up there.

    Very good value for money without compromising picture quality.

    I bought this lens for my portrait work. The bokeh is nice and creamy as I like it. At F1.8 the centre of the image is in focus but the edges of the frame are a bit soft. At f2.8 this lens really shines with pin sharp focus. Autofocus is clean, silent and sharp. Build Quality is very good but not as robust as an L series lens. The mount is metal and the focusing ring is usable in manual mode.

    Top quality lens for portrait work, the picture quality is truly outstanding. Please be aware you'll need to be between 10-12 feet away from your subject to get a head and shoulder shot. Please buy with confidence every shot with this prime lens is a winner and offers great bokeh/blur.

    Always on my camera

    Excellent bokeh, ultra-rapid focus motor and very sharp images. Is one of the best canon primes for portrait.
