    Glorious Knits by Kaffe Fassett, Steve Lovi

    This impressive, visually stunning book is full of designs for knitters. The large format and clear, numerous photos of the pieces make this an enjoyment to view as well as a source of inspiration. The importance of having this book for me is having regular access to outstandingly gorgeous color combinations and innovative graphic use of shapes. The concepts in these patterns can easily be used as a basis for other types of work such as stitchery and crochet as they are grid based. The creative nature of the garments makes for a good basis to expand and design clothing for current styles by adapting some of the basic ideas. I do not knit and knew that I would not use the actual patterns. However, the use of grid based designs and approach to unusual color choices will make this a ...

    Glorious Knits by Kaffe Fassett, Steve Lovi (1985)

    This book has beautiful photography. And Kaffe Fassett's abilities and diversity just blow me away. This man loves color and outstanding pattern which I find fascinating. Love his patterns and skills. I wanted this book because I'm now a Kaffe Fassett fan. I'm probably a late bloomer since Kaffe has been around for quite sometimes now. The thing that I noticed is that Kaffe doesn't give much guidance for the person that is new to the needlepoint craft.
