Seller Notes: “Good-Very Good overall vint cond: Absolutely stunning & vivid, saturated, vibrant color make this ... “Good-Very Good overall vint cond: Absolutely stunning & vivid, saturated, vibrant color make this revolutionary, forward-looking & precursor to later Modernist design, early 20th c vint American folk art, Geo-Abstract/Art Deco hooked rug, a particularly outstanding one & ex of this genre, which once proudly populated the entrances & kitchens of many American homes. It's completely hand made & still has its orig, period light violet backing edge around the cusp of its perimeter. Rep is an abstract, multi-colored, terraced landscape or perhaps rows of thick, puffy, layers of billowing clouds. The rug is stable & completely intact. It also doesn't suffer from any dark discoloration, stains, tears, sunlight color degradation or moth damage. There are no associated foul smells or odors, such as cigarette smoke or evidence of the prior presence of dogs or animal odor. The wool rug's still in terrific cond w/great design & great color. Untouched & in 100% orig cond. Very, very beautiful. Nice”
