    Systane drops for dry eyes

    My dry eyes need drops even through the night. Normally, I had taken "Advanced" formulas of OTC drops containing Dextran, which is of a soothing effect. However, my new ophthalmologist suggested that I try the Systane. These drops DO moisten dry eyes, but I sense no 'soothing' effect like with the Dextran formulas. I understand Systane also comes in a gel which lasts longer during the night. As I'm up for other reasons during the night, I didn't want something thick, possibly greasy clouding my vision and perhaps causing me to fall. I had a bad fall 14 months ago and don't want to risk that getting up in the dark. But for current purposes, the Systane drops work fine.

    All I can say is try it you get a great price on ebay.

    What I liked about it was it worked well for a couple of months but then it took away itching but not redness. So I switched for about a month now. I find if you don't use for a month or so if eyes are red then go back it works again. So I have no idea why my doctor says my eyes are fine and to only use Sytance however I have not seen him again recently.

    Doctor Recommended!

    A few years back my eye doctor recommended these. I had been using another product and I wasn't happy with the results. I use these twice a day. They help keep my eyes lubricated for 24 hours and my vision is so much clearer. They are easy to use. I have never had any irritation from them. I think they are even better than the prescription eye drops.

    Helps my eyes look their best.

    As someone with inflammation from allergies and insomnia my eyes take a beating from day to day. I notice it and it really effects my self esteem. Lumify is not painful when I administer, it makes my eyes look bright and healthy and lasts for a minimum of 3 hrs if not the recommend time period. My eyes honestly feel better when I use this because the blood vessels aren't swollen and sore. Visine and other products absolutely don't compare to this. I've tried everything at least 3 times and this is the only thing that works. A small vial has lasted me about a month and a half. Well worth every penny.
