    The WR version is a great weather resistant general purpose lens.

    I bought the WR version specifically for its dust and moisture resistance, similar to the K5 body on which it will be used. IMHO this resistance is a useful feature of a general purpose tool taken out on country walks. Great sharp results so far.

    welcome back to an old friend, under-rated lens, great value

    I bought this lens because i was silly enough to get rid of the original one that came with the camera. I regret doing so now. This lens is now my portrait lens on my 2nd body, for when I'm doing weddings.

    Great kit lens often underrated

    I already have the Pentax K100D with the original 18-55 MKI kit lens. The MKII version I have just bought is supposed to give superior image quality. Time will tell. So far of the photos taken it is at least on a par.

    would buy it again .

    already had the standard 18-55mm bought this as it is the WA ,so with the K30 it makes a weather resistant set up .very pleased with the lens ,sharp and a more robust feel than the standard kit lens a bit heavier but i like that feel.A uk seller so no problems with back up .
