  • Bench Tools- A compilation from Fine Woodworking

This is an excellent compilation of articles originally published in Fine Woodworking magazine in the late 1970's through the early 1980's. It details hand tools, including hand saws, planes, chisels, work benches, and marking tools such as try squares, marking gauges, and how to make lots of usefule gadgets for your shop. Included are details about sharpening chisels, saws, turning tools, and suggestions for making your work more efficient. Some of the articles are written by fairly famous woodworkers, like Tage Frid, and Franz Klausz, who penned two particularly good articles on his work bench and hand marking tools. The emphasis is on precision, and definitely worth reading for any woodworker, whether you use primarily use power tools or not. A good read, timely even today.
