Somewhat awkward... more photo ops than directions. Bought it to star making sock creatures for neices and nephews, but directions are very sparse, although one CAN look at the photos and geet good ideas. This is much the same for other, similar books I have gotten. As far as the particular copy goes, it was new, and shipped quickly and in great shape. I am please with that. Much cuteness; wish it had more projects!
I was so excited to do the projects pictured in this book, but was disappointed to find that the first half of the book was basically an intro to hand-sewing and materials, and a photographic spread of cute critters the author had made. He gave us very few instructions for actual projects. It is a fun read as well as a good craft book.
I love this book. The author tells stories about each of his creations, walks you through the basics of making sock animals, then tells you how to create the creatures you just learned the story about.

Great book - absolutely love it!
Book is beautifully photographed. The projects are great. Techniques described are very helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes crafting or loves sock animals. A great inspiration for your own creations.
