It's a warranty. Not much more to say and hopefully it won't be needed. I did need to use one of these warranties and recently and found there was quite a few steps needed to submit for a warranty claim. The end result was a refund of the item price; less shipping and taxes. So, bottom line, it is better than nothing and you will get something back BUT ONLY IF A WARRANNY ISSUE GETS APPROVED!
