    So easy !

I bought this tool from a fellow bike builder's recommendation. All I can say is "WOW" ! I takes the work/struggle out of taking the speed links out. If you have too wrestle with these links then you need this tool. I bought 2,one for my bike repair stand and one for my bike tool pouch in my hydration backpack. I will be totally covered because it is one of those tools that you wish you had when you need it ....get it now ...before you need it.. *** Every mountain biker should have ALWAYS have a chain breaker with them whenever they are on the trails !!

  • Really Necessary

I changed the chain on my bike, replacing it with a KMC X9.93 chain and had a lot of trouble with the "quick" link. Although I was finally able to get it on, I decided to go ahead and get the MLP-1.2 pliers. I used the pliers to make sure that the quick link was in place thoroughly, and I can see that the job would have been MUCH easier if I had bought it earlier. Live and Learn. Small price to pay for much easier installation.

  • Quality and utility typical of park tools

Use these pliers for very specific purposes: to remove or assist in attaching master links in a chain. Very handy to have, as really no other type of pliers does this job. Another winner in a long line of Park bicycle specific tools.

  • Master the master link

I decided to put a master link in my bike chain to make it easy to remove and clean. Getting the link together was okay but then I discovered that I had fed the chain through the rear jockey wheel incorrectly. Try and try but I couldn't separate the master link. This tool did the job in seconds and after I reset the chain the tool re-linked the master in another second. It saved the day!

  • Sure beats using a chain tool.

Have used quick links for a long while and found this to be a quick and easy solution to compressing the chain links when breaking chain. Tried needle nose pliers with cumbersome results. Very quick & easy to use, especially when compared to using the traditional chain breaker.
