    Free "expedited" shipping took only a week despite the bad weather. The enclosure looks to be worth the price, and the instructions were clear enough to make it easy to assemble. I was afraid that something might be wrong with the circuit board because the eject button on my optical drive didn't work as soon as I turned it on, but then it worked fine as soon as the computer was also turned on, and it had no trouble starting up in time to boot the system from an OS installer DVD. So far, so good!

    Careful set up

    Easy to set up and use IF the supplied parts AND cable are used and connected to a functioning USB 3.0 port before powering up the enclosure with a compatible optical drive installed. All items must be present and functioning when the unit is first set up or the unit will not power up.

    Serves its purpose but a little pricey.

    Works very well. I like the fact that it has an on and off switch. It's not worth the price, I had to bang down the back cover in order to get screw it in, It came with six screws but unit only has two screw holes in it, typical of products made in China. No way to lock my DVD writer into the cover. However, it does serve the purpose I purchased it for which is to protect my internal Blu-Ray writer.

    Nice enclosure but little pricey

    Solid enclosure. Interior connections seem ok though one cable could use better positioning. Led light not too bright. $50 price point is too high though and not a value.

    Works great with no issues.

    Setup is a breeze and then it simply works. What more could you want. Construction is sturdy enough and the LEDs are not eye searing as some manufacturers like to make them. Can't comment on its reliability as i haven't had it long enough but have no reason to doubt it.

    Works, but it's not cheap.

    It looks nice, it's easy to use, can be set up on any computer with USB ports and it's built with metal so it's sturdy. Sadly it's pretty much the the cheapest enclosure and it's not cheap at all.
