The Texan Nut Sheller York Texas Lobster Crab Claw Pecan Cracker comes in a gray and red finish. You can use it to remove the shells on nuts as well as crab claws and lobster. When you use it for lobster, simply remove the shield. This nut sheller has sharp blades set at an angle and a shield to help stop the shells from scattering. It weighs 0.4 pounds and features contoured handles with easy-to-grip plastic handles.

    Such a great tool!

    Never knew how hard it is to shell a pecan, until I tried it with a regular nut cracker. No luck; I got many small pieces when I really wanted whole halves. Bought the Texan York nut sheller, and found that with just a little practice, I now have complete halves! The sheller is very sturdy, and only requires a moderate amount of pressure to cut the shell. I am very glad I found this gem!

    Excellent idea, wish I'd found it years ago!

    This is the best tool we've ever used to shell pecans. My wife's parents give us pecans each year that they've grown and we dread having to shell them because of the way it kills your fingernails to pick them out, even with pecan tools. This tool makes it so much easier and faster that we'll now look forward to getting our pecans each year.

    Best handheld

    Best hand operated nut cracker I've ever used. Instructions could be better. We were showed how to use it from a pecan harvesting place where we bought our first one. This one is for a gift and we will probably have to show her how to use it properly.

    Excellent

    Last year I mangled most of my pecans using the traditional v shaped nutcracker. We have a mature tree with hundreds of nuts and shelling them is a big job. This Texas York Sheller does a great job of getting the nuts out without breaking them, and it cut the time in half. Highly recommend it.
