About this product

Product Information

The sequel to the golf sensation, Hot Shots Golf, arrives on the store shelves with a new developer: Clap Hanz Limited. The original game quickly became a golf favorite with its cartoonish and arcade-like style. The sequel returns with the same atmosphere and a few additions.

The game now has six different modes of play: Match Play, Stroke Play, VS Mode, Training Mode, Nine Hole/Par 3 Course and the addition of a new Tournament mode. The game focuses on the concept of collecting more and better items throughout play. You start with three selectable characters, then work your way through all 13. The same goes for collectable gear for your golfer.

The load time for Hot Shots Golf 2 was designed to be minimal. The game will load before a hole but never during your time on the fairway. Another addition is the ability to replay your shot just in case you feel like you need to brag to your friends about that hole-in-one no one believes you achieved. Or you can use it just in case you want to see what you're doing wrong.

The game has added more camera angles to intensify the realistic visuals but not overshadow the cartoonish feel of the game. But one of the main features of the game is its multi-player aspect. You can play up to four players with a Multi-Tap and challenge them all to different modes of gameplay.

The game also attempts to offer a more interactive feel, so you can choose different clubs, realign your shot distance, or modify other features. This way you can perfect your shot and quickly master the game.

The game allows you to zoom in or zoom out on your shot distance, or even pan out and look at the map, and try to line up your shot. The built in land-grid can pinpoint the distance of your shot, and the elevation map helps you to know how hard to hit the golf ball.

With new additions and features, along with updated gameplay and more options, Hot Shots Golf aims to be the definitive golf game on the PlayStation console.

  • A Sequel Quite Different From the Original!

I love how different this installment is from the orginal. Each crude character has his/her own laughable antics, mostly because you know someone just like them! The game provides season long tournaments, which allows you to play in varieties of weather, and there's lots of extras earned when you win a tournament, including caddies and camera angles. My most favorite part is that you can save your game after each hole, allowing you to stop when you need to (or to make sure you get the score you want). My next most favorite part is the grading system: You get graded based on your aggregate stats on each course, including average score, average putts, greens in regulation, etc. The only thing I think is "fluff" is some of the extras are sets of wallpapers so that you can change the look ...

  • Best Golfing Game Out There for the Playstation!!!

When I got Hot Shots Golf 2 I was expecting a great golf game because the original Hot Shots Golf was great. Did I get what I wanted? Yes. Hot Shots Golf 2 is the best golf game I ever played in my life. It has action packed gameplay, fast load times, and a lot of secrets to unlock. The graphics in Hot Shots Golf 2 are fantastic. I would have to say that they are the best graphics I ever saw in a Playstation golf game. The only golf game that has better graphics is Tee Off Golf for Dreamcast. The courses and golfers for Hot Shots Golf 2 are marvelous. The greens look really nice too. The only problem I had with the graphics was when the ball was close to the trees. The trees looked really blurry and it was hard to know where to hit the ball. Other than that, the graphics in Hot Shots Golf ...

  • Excellent Transaction

My autistic son loves the old games of the original play station, so he goes on ebay and finds the games he likes, Once he gets the green signal from his dad and its usually a green signal he continious to purchase it. So cool to see because he is only 11years old but everything is done in our presence so we can give him feedback and/or prompts. Everyday after he purchases the product, he checks the mailbox and the day it comes, we have him open it while he is jumping up and down with joy!!!

  • Hot shots Golf

  • Hot Shots 2

I love the Hot Shot games. You never get tired of playing them because they are never the same game twice! They are fun for the whole family. And the best part is you can play one or up to four players at a time. Truly a game worth owning.
