Lush Analog Delay
I now have two Memory Mans, one for a short delay/eight notes, one for a long delay/Quarter notes, i use them independently and also simultaneously. They are very lush, deeper and darker than a lot of digital delays that I have, replica, DD5. Very quiet considering they are analog, built like a tank, a big foot print however. Lots of control over the repeats, from short to so long that the repeats can build upon each other and create a huge ground swell of sound so thick that if you don't back off on the feedback control you can blow up your amp, very cool.I now have two Memory Mans, one for a short delay/eight notes, one for a long delay/Quarter notes, i use them independently and also simultaneously. Great sounds, easy to use.
I bought this pedal for the spacey effects I've heard from some other EHX pedals, and it came through. The delay speeds are very easy to set, and the chorus/vibrato really changes up the sound to make it pretty wild. I love the blend knob, it really helps to completely control the sound you get. Plus if you turn the feedback way up, you can use the delay knob to speed it up and slow it down, making the pitch of the feedback higher and lower. I'm really satisfied with everything about this pedal. I only wish it had a little bit of reverb, but it's only a delay pedal so I can't say I was expecting it.I bought this pedal for the spacey effects I've heard from some other EHX pedals, and it came through. Overall it is a nice effect pedal. Lush and deep effects. It takes time to learn what the pedal has to offer. There is a learning curve that you have to work out. The individual variables of the pedal have particular balances and sweet spots. It's a challenge to tune them in, and difficult to remember since there are no clock like control setting indicators. The effects are unplayable and overbearing when the variables are out of balance. This is the same for every effect pedal. This pedal is one of the best pedals you can get if you want an old school replica analog chorus pedal. The pedal has some range of capability, but I find that there are only a few sweet spots that I like.Overall it is a nice effect pedal. Lush and deep effects. Great analog delay!!
Sweet pedal, not overrated, a tad too expensive but nothing can touch it. Boss has nice delays but this is definitely worth it. Warm reverbs nice chorus and true bypass. Won’t mess with your tone. Best grab one before it’s gets any higher in price. It holds it value too. Great investment, the older , the better…
