Such signal reach requires advanced security settings to prevent intruders from gaining access to the network, and the user of the D-Link DI-624-RF router can take advantage of 64-bit or 128-bit WEP, WPA, or WPA-PSK security for network encryption. Advanced firewall features of this D-Link wireless router include MAC, IP, and URL filtering, domain blocking, and NAT with VPN pass-through. The Ethernet cables used to connect devices to any of the four built-in switch ports can be periodically tested with a built-in utility of this D-Link wireless router, which performs detection and troubleshooting of physical cable problems.
