    Good if you want small, but don't expect too much.

    Thin clients are mostly meant to run a single application like a cash register app or some sort of data entry. They are scaled down versions of regular PCs. That must be kept in mind when trying to use them for other things. The Dell FX160 is considered fanless but, in versions with the HDD, there is actually a small fan on the HDD. I don't hear it though, and wouldn't know it is there except for a tear down video. I also have another FX160 with the Atom 230 and only 2 Gig of Ram. I expected this one to be a lot faster but, running Linux Mint from a SSD, I couldn't tell much difference. If you are used to a modern, multi core processor PC, this thing might make you impatient. I found myself talking to it, urging it to "come on and do it" all the time. The hardware appears to be typical ...

    Fast and quiet

    Loaded Win 7 64bit with 256 SSD and 3 GIG RAM (it will not recognize more than 3 GB) runs super-fast. I attempted to upgrade to windows 10 but the built in video does not support Windows 10.
