    Great amp... but only for the right application

    Small, powerful, and solidly built. If you're not going to use this with the Bose Lifestyle system, this unit can be used as a standalone amplifier with the following steps: 1.) Flip the A & B DIP switches up, and keep all the other switches down. 2.) Place a 5k resistor between the two VCA terminals to adjust the base volume. You also use a potentiometer for continuous adjustment of volume. 3.) In this mode, the unit has an auto turn-on feature that powers it up when it detects a signal, and powers down after 60 seconds without a signal. This third thing means that the amp is not ideal for a home theater, particularly any surround channel. Usually these channels are active for long periods of time, and the amp will be turning on and off as it sees signal come and go.

    I have 10 of these amps running 20 speakers

    I have an old bose lifestyle 50 It works great and it has 4 zones. These amps power a pair of speakers with lots of power. You can switch them to direct rca in so if the lifestyle failed you can use other controllers like Nile 6430. I love these things my house sounds great and my wife doesn't have to learn a new remote. I have an SA-5 amp and it would drive my wife crazy. It is also $500 to run four speakers. I keep 2 spares in case one fails.

    Works great with correct system

    This is a great product as I run several amps with my Bose Lifestyle. Very strong with two speakers. Although old tech/systems they work perfectly. There is no noise from any amp. I tend to run them for several hours and only get warm.

    excellent system

    We have this system in our home and it's 9 years old and gets a ton of use. We have had very few issues with it and they were easily resolved. I bought this amp to replace one that had gone bad. The shipper was great and held it for me while I was on vacation. It was easy to install.

    It works perfectly

    It works really good, only the remote has a short range but it does not affect the use of it for my specific needs. A little bit of setup steps are needed to add it to the Bose system but when done everything works great.
