Specifically for the "Lexus 3-button remote head key fob HYQ1512V": I was able to get the key cut at a Lexus dealer, then performed the programming of the transponder and fob myself. The key is now able to start the car and perform all of the remote functions the OEM key does. However, the key blade itself does not fit very well in the trunk or the doors; the amount of force needed to fully insert and remove the key is scary. Fits fine in the ignition though, presumably due to cylinder wear.
