Highly recommend seller; ordered DVD model 210; apparently out of stock; sent me better model {510} instead, for the same price; who does this anymore?; excellent communication and quick shipping.

    Operation Blind

Device comes well protected and in great condition. Simple to set up and operations are logical and easy to understand. Great quality image with many fun features. The only downside is the lack of a display screen on the unit's face. No indication of time, track, or function. The on/off indicator is a minuscule, difficult to see, dimly lit light. You will need your glasses to be able to see if it is ready to use.

    Reasonable Price And Acceptable Quality

SONY, at one time, was synonymous with value. While I have no specific quality complaint with this DVP-SR210P, for my purposes, I do wish this unit had a jack and audio level control for headphones on the front of the unit... as well as an on-off switch. I use this in a bedroom, at bedside, for CD playback as well as DVD for playback on a small TV... so the remote control (instead of controls on the unit, itself) is a little inconvenient for me. On the plus side, this compact player doesn't take up much space and it has a nice appearance. The unit seems to function well after a couple of weeks use. The quality of audio and video reproduction seems quite acceptable. Perhaps the best feature is the low price for the Sony DVP-SR210P.

  • I’m actually upset the remote speakers don’t work

The remote control does not work I have tried 3 sets of brand new batteries and it doesn’t work at all! And it’s a hassle to work without it! Then I used the dvd cables to hook up to new tv and the cord is not stable/sturdy enough to be put into connection correctly and the speakers make a hissing sound because it won’t connect correctly which made me made so all together I had to either get new cables or new DVD player so I tried tried cables first and that was $7 but the remote not being able to be used cause it didn’t work was even more of a hassle so I had to go get a new DVD player from Walmart and that was $25 for the cheapest one that they had In stock at store otherwise it would of had to be delivered and I could not wait for that ! And all of that I did wanna do since they are ...

  • Outstanding Player

I use this unit as an add-on to any of three stereo systems I have in different rooms. So far its played all the CDs and DVDs that I've loaded and all the remote control functions work. Great bargain for around 20 bucks

  • Excellent little DVD player! Go with Sony!

I bought this to take the wear and tear off of playing DVDs on my high quality, ten-year-old Magnavox VCR to DVD burner after my old stand-alone DVD player died. This one is an excellent deal for the price! You can't go wrong with Sony. It has features even my high priced model doesn't, but there are of course some that this one doesn't have. If you want a good, basic DVD player, with a solid remote, that's a breeze to set up if you have the open RCA plugs on your TV or another device that feeds into your TV, do yourself a favor and get one of these. I'm almost tempted to buy another one and keep it in the box since I have so many excellent movies on DVD but the players seem to be getting harder to find with streaming, I guess. I still have 8 track tapes and nothing to play them on.
