Sound track to French Kiss
Well, to start with, I love France, the French people, and so most anything to do with France makes me happy. The movie is cute - Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline are so implausible as a couple that it's amusing to see them fall for each other. Kevin Kline's French accent is actually quite good, although he's a bit too much of a con artist for my tastes, even if it's for a noble reason. At any rate, the movie works for me in large part because of the sound track - it's definitely an odd collection of music, but it fits the scenes of the movie so well that it keeps everything moving at just the right pace. From Van Morrison to Louis Armstrong to Les Negresses Vertes to (!) Kevin Kline, it's a great collection of a broad variety of classic pieces and some that are not so classic but are just fun to ... Well, to start with, I love France, the French people, and so most anything to do with France makes me happy. So - buy the movie, then pick up the sound track to pop in your car stereo so that you can smile on your way to work, or maybe for your MP3 so that you can warm up your ears while you're on your way to Paris.

Kevin Kline - Take me away ...
I have fallen in love with this movie over the last few years and have come to realize that the music is a big part of why I like the movie so much! Listening to this CD brings on a "virtual-mini-holiday" for me. I can play this CD and feel like I'm a million miles away.
