The Best DVR out there
The ability to watch up to 6 channels at the same time is great! Nice features to access the tuners and guide while still watching TV. I had the DISH hopper DVR and I liked it a lot but the TIVO BOLT is more user friendly and has more features.

Overpriced and outdated.
I didn't realized when I bought it that you need to get a card from your cable supplier (which they are not that interested in giving or selling you) Plus you need to sign up for Tivo account @ 6.99 month. This box is a recorder, but not a player, which is bizaare to me. .Also didn't realize that. I got it installed easily, it said installation was successful and yet, when I went to actually use it, there was an error code which you have to call the company to get a result for that. It was the most expensive piece of kit on the market at the time. So, no, i don't recommend it. I bought mine from a second rate dealer (although was NEW and unopened) to save money which made it non returnable, So I'm out the money, but a lesson well learned. Long Time TiVo User Here
As a long time TiVo user, I do not like (1) the TiVo commercial that plays before every play of a recording, requiring you to hit Skip each time, (2) the fact that the TiVo remote will not turn off my Sony TV, but turns it on just fine, (3) the incessant TiVo+ channel content that clutters up the Guide.
