LOVE THIS SHOW!
I stumbled upon Johnny & the Sprites one morning on Playhouse Disney. My family is Wiccan, and I was overjoyed to see a show that very subtley embraces pagan values. My six month old daughter loves watching the show, and giggles when the sprites come onto the screen. The music is wonderful & the themes of the shows are values anyone (no matter their religion) can enjoy. We bought her the DVD, and we play it all the time. In one episode the cutest sprite, Root, gets the hiccups, which they call the Dadoots. It's very cute & teaches patience. In another, Ginger comes to terms with having curly antennae, which she originally feels are "weird", but then comes to appreciate them with a growing self-esteem. Another episode on the DVD is where Johnny builds a fountain in his yard, and ... I stumbled upon Johnny & the Sprites one morning on Playhouse Disney. The sprites are then on a hunt to figure out where the water went, and end up figuring out that it is going to Johnny's fountain. This teaches them all that there is always a reason (cause & effect) for something to happen. This show is wonderful! And the DVD is true to the show, and is alot of fun for children & adults alike.

Johnny & The Sprites Rock!
My 2 1/2 year old son absolutely adores the show "Johnny & The Sprites". I picked up this DVD so that he would be able to watch the show when it's not on Playhouse Disney. This disc holds up to multiple viewings by both child & adult. I have been a huge fan of John Tartaglia since Avenue Q and I was really excited that he was involved with a project that I could share with my kids. If you don't like puppets and don't enjoy Broadway style song/dance numbers this disc is not for you. For those who do - this disc is a grand slam!My 2 1/2 year old son absolutely adores the show "Johnny & The Sprites". Educational Programme
Bought the Johnny & Sprites dvd for my 2yr old daughter as she loves to watch the programme. As in Malaysia, they only screened it on the cable tv, I need to have a copy of the dvd so that my daughter doesn't need to wait for it every night of the day. So I search on the website and saw that they had released the first dvd but only available in US. Went to search at my local stores and couldn't find one.So, took the chances by buying it online. Overall, nice tv programme and educational.Bought the Johnny & Sprites dvd for my 2yr old daughter as she loves to watch the programme. my little one and I love this show!
It has 6 shows and the music is wonderful. each story teach a need life lesson. very colorful and well put together. we watch it at least one a day if not twice. you you like the muppets of jack's big music show, you will just love this.
