Scott Bakula (STAR TREK - ENTERPRISE) stars as brilliant scientist Sam Beckett, who in experimenting with time travel, loses himself in a perpetual warp that catapults him into the bodies and lives of random people throughout time. While he temporarily inhabits a person's body, Sam also must solve a problem or mystery in that person's life (the solving of which triggers another jump). Continually trying to find a way to his home time, Sam has the help of Rear Admiral Albert "Al" Calavicci (Dean Stockwell), who appears in hologram form, and the supercomputer Ziggy (voiced by Deborah Pratt), which provides clues for solving each episode's mystery. took me too long to get into this stellar show! it made me love Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell even more than before. they were perfectly cast, and the show has award-winning writing, directing and production value. Sam Beckett and Al forever!

Quantum Leap season 3 DVD's
Quantum Leap is one of my favorite TV shows. I can't imagine having one season and not having all of them. For that reason, I would not hesitate to recommend season 3. I had heard that some of the original music was replaced on some of the seasons because of some copyright thing. This made me hesitate to buy, but in the end I chose to buy the series sets anyway. It was the only way to have them. I don't regret buying them and didn't miss the omitted or replaced music. Do some research to make sure I am correct about the music. Others say that region 2 has the original music, so if you have a player that plays region 2 DVD's, you are set. Either way, it is still a great set. In my mind it's the first of its kind to take time travel and make it believable. And the fact that it lasted 5 seasons makes it impressive. More impressive is that it's fun to watch over and over. It seems to me that it lead the way into a whole new kind of TV show. Unique in it’s time. I agree with another review, it's sad that they didn't take the time to acquire the rights to the songs and keep the sets consistent with the original shows. It takes the excellence out of the sets, but they are still very good. I bought all 5 seasons.
