VERY good beginning pastel artist's book
Very good for amateur pastellist (which I am). I'm self-taught, too. Gives information and shows how to create various textures: lips, eyes, shadows, hair, trees, various textures on differnt types of pastel paper and various techniques, like "blending" or "cross hatching." Good book, worth having. Most of it is not photorealism, but some is. Most is simply a very good picture by a very talented artist.Very good for amateur pastellist (which I am). I'm self-taught, too.
