    Lightweight and easy to use.

    I bought this as a back-up to an identical model that I have had for years. It has Windows XP on it which I need to run a couple old programs - File Express and Lotus for DOS.

    Inspiron 700 is a nice compact computer although windows xp does have its issues, MOST of which can be overlooked. The battery is the big issue expensive and a common problem is "computer doesn't recognize battery warning". I have no real gripes about this unit and will do more research to hopefully rectify these issues.

    What a deal Go for it and buy it!!...Quality far exceeds the cost A++

    Great little laptop actually.... its has an optical drive so u don't have the limitations that you might have with netbooks. Its an older model but dell made a pretty looking one and its not as thick as you may think it is...actually a nice and sturdy yet ultraportable. Dont pass this up just because of age and weight. Its a heck of a lot better having the slightly larger screen size rather than the usual 10 inches. Trust me 10 inches will start to wear on you while this computer actually feels like a true laptop. The keyboard is fantastic and the display is one thing that stands out...its like super glossed out crystal clear...never had a tv nor a computer look this good. The 8 cell battery lasts forever which is amazing and Ive maxed out the ram and its just as awesome as some of ...
