    Acu-rite 5 in one sensor and display

    Only been a couple of weeks, but so far so good. Got this unit to replace one that the temperature sensor had gone out in. I had sat it aside to repair it, but wife threw it out while I was at work. So, I bought the whole set up. Old receiver linked up with new sensor. So I put my old receiver next to my bed, which means I can roll over and view the conditions outside. I also like that I connected to My Acu-Rite web site, so I drive my co-workers crazy by showing them the weather conditions in my yard.....

    Easy set up

    Color monitor stopped working after 120 days, still sends to old black and white display . Rain gage never worked on ether units. This is my second station of this brand, first one lasted many years until the wind gauge blow apart from hot desert heat and winds, —cann’t complane in this envirment,it did good. Color monitor was easy to read, until it stop working.

    OK for personal use .

    Easy to setup for personal use only. Fairly accurate readings. To share with Weather Underground, we need a dedicated Microsoft laptop for cable connection. Unit loads data to CSV file every 12 minutes which accumulates endlessly and must be deleted . To improve product, have control panel connect wirelessly to wifi.

    Works well right out of the box

    Instructions are clear and set up was easy. The color display is very nice and easy to read. All of the functions are working well. Accuracy is unknown as I don't have an immediate reference. However, readings are consistent with local weather reports. If I were to improve anything it would be rolling 5 or 8 curve tracking the barometer pressure to better track weather trends and rate of change.

    weather event display banner.

    Very nice, the display is very easy to read, (even in the dark). Displays wind speed and peak speed with out having to scroll thru other screens. The best part is the events display banner at the bottom, showing all recent weather history events.
