The Amazon Princess stars in a excellent origin story.
Liked - The style of animation, which is different from movie to movie, the take on Wonder Woman's Greek origins, the fact that DC is making these movies. Disliked - Very little. Quick Note - The origin in this movie is Wonder Woman's after Crisis on Infinite Earths, an excellent comic, but the story is from the Golden Age. I'm not going to tell any of the plot, just in case, but I liked this movie a lot. Wonder Woman is one of my favorite superheroes, and I was glad to see this film produced. While Wonder Woman is a feminist in this movie, she is not a jerk by doing so, which is a key part of her character. Early on, she teaches a little girl how to swordfight, and later berates a co-worker of Steve's for asking him to do a simple task for her. The Lasso of Truth leads to some funny ... The Lasso of Truth leads to some funny moments between Steve and Diana, but personally, I'm getting sick of the "crude, macho dude" and "weak-willed, unsure guy" stereotypes in films. While I'm no fan of Spider-Man, or Marvel in general, Peter's character is a lot more likeable in some ways than Steve's. That's not to say Steve doesn't have his moments, such as him stopping a huge disaster on Diana's homeworld, but his character could've been better. Overall, I would recommend the special edition over the regular one. The extra features that DC produces are often worth the money, and this version is no different.

Being a big fan of Wonder Woman, it's no surprise I bought this DVD. The actual movie is good (not great)...as it would have been nice to see Diana take on someone far more exciting than Eres. The real "snag" tearing down the story, was the fact that Wonder Woman would be attracted to Steve Trevor, who doesn't do much but aggravate me with his oogling, and sexist attitude. It's supposed to play off as "humor" I guess...but it's a real "downer" when your hero is attracted to a jerk. The animation is fine. Diana/Wonder Woman and the rest of the amazons look great. I got this particular version on Ebay because I didn't have access to a Best Buy to secure the "action figure". The figure is cool. Best Animated Wonder Woman ever
this is the best interpretation of Wonder Woman in animation, ever. Wonder Woman has never had a cartoon series of her own, only being a co-star in various "Justice League/Super Friends" cartoons over the decades.. This animated movie is her origin story, created out of clay by the Greek god Zeus as a gift to the Amazon queen Hippolyta, princess Diana grows up on Paradise Island. One fateful day, an American military pilot named Steve Trevor accidentally crash-lands on the heretofore hidden island-- meanwhile, the evil god Ares, long a prisoner on Paradise Island, breaks free and commits himself to starting random world wide warfare, for his own bloodthirsty delights. Diana is sent to the outside world (with Trevor in tow) to be Wonder Woman, ambassador and warrior, to stop Ares and be ... this is the best interpretation of Wonder Woman in animation, ever. Wonder Woman is Strong and Sexy.
I have to say that I Love Wonder Woman's Outfit in this movie for the Outfit is the classic and original two piece Bikini with the stars on the Panty. I really really HATE Wonder Woman's new Outfit which is the jack and black pants. Wonder Woman is a movie that have Wonder Woman's origins about her Adam and Eve type of birth and mythology involving Zeus and Hera. Wonder Woman is trained in the art of fighting until a day when an army pilot get shoot down over Themyscira but is he friend or foe for the Amazons? The powerful god of war which was lockup has been release does man or Wonder Woman have a chance? There is action, killing, blood, death, love and etc. The ending have a guest appearance of a female feline villainess. Wonder Woman is Hot, Sexy and Beautiful so I had to rent this ... EXCELLENT STORYLINE AND DRAWINGS WITH PLENTY OF ACTION!
THIS CARTOON WAS ACTION PACKED FROM BEGINNING TO END WITH A FEW GOOD LAUGHS AS WELL AND I WAS SURPRISED THAT IT SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS!! I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME COMIC COLLECTOR FROM ABOUT 6 OR 8 AND EVEN NOW THAT I'M OVER 40, THE STORY WRITERS FOR EACH OF THESE CARTOON LATELY STARTING WITH WONDER WOMAN HAVE BEEN GETTING BETTER AND BETTER EVERY TIME, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND MAYBE WITH IT'S OLDER GENERATIONS WATCHING THESE CARTOONS MAYBE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO A MORE GRAPHIC ONE LIKE THE KILLING JOKE OR THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS STORYLINE.
